Great Book by a True Practitioner

I read this after having part of it assigned for a class. It is a wonderful resource and a very interesting read. Cohen is obviously dedicated to Africa and had/has a strong desire to do good work there. However, he sometimes thinks too much of US (believes they are more altruistic than I think they were). Highly reccommend.

Great resource for conflict resolution

Ambassador Cohen demonstrates that an activist Assistant Secretary can accomplish a lot in conflict resolution through diplomatic action. He also makes it clear that when the US speaks everyone listens. This is a grear resource on conflict resolution for practitioners and scholars.

Half The Truth

The Author's account of his involvement in Ethiopia was not told in its entirety and it was half the truth and the other half is still not disclosed. If Cohen & Hicks were the only ones involved it the Ethiopian case I think America is not what we think it is. Believe me the sell of the Ethiopians to the Jews was not the work of Cohen and his colleques but it was a modern trade slavery conducted underground. Shame on you !! History will judge you one day.
